Q: How long will my lash extensions last?

A: The length of time your lash extensions hold your original look without the need for a fill depends on a few factors. The first is your natural lash growth cycle.  Natural lashes cycle through every 60-90 days.  Stress, lifestyle, and make-up use can cause your lashes to shed faster than average.  Your lash stylist will explain to you the proper care of your lashes to help them last as long as possible.  You'll be able to see fairly quickly if you need to come in every 2, 3 or 4 weeks to maintain the look you want.

Q: Do lash extensions hurt when you apply them?

A: No, it's actually a relaxing process and most people fall asleep.  If you do feel any discomfort or pain during your session, you should speak up immediately and let your lash stylist know.

Q: How do I get rid of my lashes?

A: If you just wanted lashes for a special occasion, or have decided lash extensions aren't for you and you're ready for them to come off, it is very important that you see a lash professional and allow them to remove them or wait for them to grow out naturally.  Pulling them off, cutting / trimming them, or trying other methods to do-it-yourself are highly discouraged for the safety of your eyes and your natural lashes.

Q: How many lashes do you apply with a full set?

A: We don't count lashes at Flutter.  We're artists and our goal is to make your eyes even more gorgeous than they are already.  So... I guess the answer is "as many as it takes."

Q: I've never done this before. How should I prepare for my visit?

A:  First, make certain your eyes are completely clean and free of make-up.  If you wear contacts, you will need to take them out during the extension application. Some adhesives require that you go 24-48 hrs without getting your lash extensions wet to allow them to fully set.  Because of this, we recommend that you shower and wash your hair before coming in the day of your appointment so that you don't find yourself in a dire situation later.
